Test NTC-9B - Checking Idle Air Control Motor

NOTE:
Perform TEST NTC-9A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-2A
after each repair.
Turn engine off. Disconnect PCM 60-pin connector and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of each circuit between Idle Air Control (IAC) motor 4-pin connector and PCM 60-pin connector. See appropriate IDENTIFYING PCM/IAC CONNECTOR TERMINALS table. If resistance for any circuit is more than 5 ohms, repair open on suspect circuit. If resistance for all circuits is less than 5 ohms, replace PCM.
