The Variable Geometry Turbine (VGT) has variable vanes controlled by an electric actuator.
The VGT actuator contains a sensor which supplies its position information to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
A heatshield is installed over the turbocharger and exhaust manifold to protect other components and to prevent accidental contact with the hot exhaust components.
