Brake Caliper - Vehicles With: Standard Brakes : Installation

CAUTION: Install a new O-ring seal.

NOTE: This step is only required if previously removed.

Install the Electric Park Brake (EPB) actuator.

Renew Part: Electric park brake actuator fitting kit Quantity: 1 .

Install the brake caliper.

Torque : 35 Nm

Install a new brake hose.

Renew Part: Brake hose Quantity: 1 .

Torque : 16 Nm

Install the new brake hose.

Renew Part: Brake caliper hose washer(s) Quantity: 2 .

Torque : 42 Nm
NOTE: Right side only.

- Install the brake pad wear sensor.
- Connect the EPB.
Bleed the brake system.
Refer to: BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING
Install the wheel and tire.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE
Depress the brake pedal several times, check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top-up with brake fluid if necessary.
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, Calibrate the EPB.

NOTE: This step is only required if Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment is not available.

Deactivate the service mode function of the EPB.

Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE SERVICE MODE ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION
