Pinpoint Test D: Transmission Shift Quality

  1. D1: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHECK 
    1. Using the JLR  approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - Read DTC  . Check for DTC  in the following control module:
      • HVAC Control Module (HVAC)

      Are there DTC  in the above modules? Do we need to mention the clusters below? 

      Yes:  Refer to the relevant DTC  index and perform the relevant corrective actions. Perform a road test and re-assess the quality of the gear shift. If the gear shift concern is still present GO to PINPOINT TEST E . If the gear shift concern has now been corrected return the vehicle to the customer.

      No:  GO to PINPOINT TEST E .

POSSIBLE CAUSE CLUSTER OF DTC  SYSTEM/MODULE TO INVESTIGATE
Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor
  • P06A2-11 - Variable A/C Compressor Control Circuit High (circuit short to ground)
  • P1308-11 - A/C  Clutch Circuit (circuit short to ground)
  • B11EE-55 - A/C  Compressor (not configured)
  • B140F-49 - Electric A/C  Compressor (internal electronic failure)
  • B140F-87 - Electric A/C  Compressor (missing message)
  • B140F-92 - Electric A/C  Compressor (performance or incorrect operation)
  • P06A2-13 - Variable A/C  Compressor Control Circuit High (circuit open)
