Roof Opening Panel Frame (G1851640): Removal

NOTE:

- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

- Make the airbag supplementary restraint system (SRS) safe.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove the side air curtain module.
Refer to: SIDE AIR CURTAIN MODULE
Disconnect the roof opening panel electrical connector.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove the A-pillar outer finisher.

NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.
Remove the roof mouldings.
Using a suitable adhesive tape, protect the surrounding paintwork.
General Equipment: Adhesive tape

CAUTION: Make sure not to damage the alignment pins when cutting the bonding material.
Use a glazing cutting wire to cut the adhesive.

NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
Remove the roof opening panel frame assembly.
Remove and discard the 6 roof opening panel spacers.
