Pinpoint Test A: Front Or Rear Door(S) Will Not Unlock By Passive Entry

- A1: INITIAL CHECKS NOTE: The unlock sensors can be triggered by rainfall or during a carwash. If a number of repeated unlock requests are made due to rain or during car washing the sensor algorithm will ignore further requests until no further requests are made for a period of several minutes. This is to prevent vehicle battery drain due to false unlock requests and is not a defect
- Check the surface of the exterior door handle(s) for water (for example immediately after being subject to rain or a carwash)
Does the handle have water on the surface?
Yes
Dry the handles with a suitable cloth and wait for 5 minutes before making further unlock requests. GO to A2.

GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
- A2: HANDLE(S) UNLOCK FUNCTION CHECK
- Check the function of the unlock request after drying the exterior door handle(s)
Does the handle unlock the door?
Yes
No further action required, explain and review the system operation with the customer.
