Are there any related DTC s set in the RFA ?
Yes
Refer to: ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE Follow the diagnostic procedure, if the fault persists after completing the procedure GO to B2.
No
GO to B2.
- B2: HANDLE(S) LOCK/UNLOCK FUNCTION CHECK
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, read Data IDentifier (DID) (0xA113)
- Touch the lock sensor on the handle(s) with the concern
- Touch the unlock sensor on the handle(s) with the concern
Does the lock and unlock request change state when being tested on DID (0xA113)?
Yes
Handle functioning correctly, if the fault persists Refer to: ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE
No
GO to B3.
- B3: WIRING HARNESS CHECKS
- Refer to the appropriate wiring diagrams and check the ground and power circuit between the handle and RFA
Was a concern identified with the wiring harness?
Yes
Repair the wiring harness as necessary and retest the system.
No
GO to B4.
- B4: WIRING HARNESS/CONNECTORS CHECKS
- Refer to the appropriate wiring diagrams and check all associated connectors and connector pins between the handle and RFA . Check for bent or damaged pins and perform a pin drag test on all associated circuit pins
Was a concern identified with any connectors or pins?
Yes
Rectify as necessary, REFER to: WIRING HARNESS OVERLAY
No
Install a new door handle and retest the system.
