Exhaust Rear Section - Vehicles With 240 PS Engines
On vehicles with 240 PS engine the exhaust rear section is divided into right side and left side rear silencer assemblies.
The exhaust rear section is connected by a pipe to the exhaust center section and is secured with a clamp. The inlet pipe of the exhaust rear section separates the exhaust gases into 2 and directs it to the left and right rear silencers.
On each side 3 hanger brackets support the exhaust rear section. One at a mid-point of the inlet pipe, one forward of the rear silencer and one rearward of the rear silencer. Each is connected to a mounting rubber and bracket. Two brackets are attached to the vehicle body, one is welded and the other is bolted. The third bracket is welded on the side of the rear subframe.
The rear silencer has a mass damper secured to a bracket attached to the rear silencer assembly.
The exhaust gases are expelled from each rear silencer via 1 outlet pipe.
