- Set tire pressures to road test value. CAUTION: Make sure that the vehicle has not stood for more than 2 hours in an elevated temperature prior to setting, e.g. the workshop, to prevent under inflation.
Deflate the rolling tires from transit pressure, to the advised pressure on the instrument cluster. This pressure is displayed in brackets and can be accessed by selecting: Vehicle Information and then Tire Pressures.
When the tire pressures are reduced from the high transit/storage pressure (350- 380 kPa (3.5 - 3.8 bar/51 - 56 PSI) to normal pressures, the final pressure will rise after about 2 minutes, possibly giving incorrect tire pressures. Further adjustment is only necessary if under inflated, or over inflated by more than 2psi.
For the spare tire, inflate to the highest recommended cold inflation pressure for that tire size, on the label located at the base of the driver's door opening, using a calibrated tire pressure gauge.
Remove bar code labels from wheels (if equipped).
