Side Air Curtain - Project 8 (G2248428): Removal

WARNING:
- To prevent accidental deployment, you must de-energize the power in the Restraints Control Module (RCM). Wait at least 2 minutes after you disconnect the startup battery ground cable before you do any work on, of adjacent to, the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS). If you do not follow these instructions, it can cause injury or death.
- Always wear safety glasses when working on an air bag equipped vehicle and when handling an air bag module. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
- Do not connect any electrical test device or equipment to the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) connectors.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations for right side components, left side components are similar.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

- To avoid accidental deployment, wait at least 2 minutes after you disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
- Remove the headliner.
Refer to: HEADLINER
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the 2 brackets.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.

CAUTION: Do not allow the side air curtain to twist. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the component.
- Remove the 6 bolts.
- Remove the side air curtain.
