Pinpoint Test D: Wipers - Erratic Movement Diagnostics (1)

  1. D1: CONFIRM ERRATIC MOVEMENT OF WINDSHIELD WIPERS 
    1. Make sure that the vehicle battery voltage is above 11v or that a power supply unit with a 13.5v constant supply voltage has been connected to the vehicle.
    2. Confirm that the customer is using an appropriate (commercially available) brand of wiper/washer fluid.
    3. Operate the washer jets for 2 seconds and leave to complete wash/wipe cycle - repeat this step three times.
    4. With the customer present (if possible), operate the washers/wipers (as detailed above) to confirm/replicate the reported issue.

    Is there an issue with the wiper movement (eg: erratic or unacceptable movement)?

    Yes 

    GO to PINPOINT TEST E .

    No 

    No further action required
