DTC P0116-2A: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance - Signal stuck in range: Action

- Check cooling system for mechanical and fluid integrity
- Check cooling fan system for mechanical integrity
- Check thermostat system for mechanical integrity
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the engine coolant temperature sensor 1 circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Check and install a new engine coolant temperature sensor 1 as required
- Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, clear all stored DTCs and retest
