Transfer Case Bush (G1573642): Installation

  1. Clean all the mating faces and reusable parts thoroughly and check for damage.

    Mark the new component in the same orientation as the original.

  3. CAUTION: The component must be aligned with the installation markings.
    NOTE: Apply water to lubricate the bushing.

  4. CAUTION: Make sure the special tool is installed to the bush in the correct orientation.

    Special Tool(s):  JLR-205-1005A

  5. G11292486
    • Using the special tools, install the transfer case bush.
    • Install the special tools as shown.

    Special Tool(s):  JLR-205-1003, JLR-205-1005A

  6. Remove the special tools.
  7. CAUTION: The component must be aligned with the installation markings.

  8. Install the transfer case.

    Refer to: INSTALLATION  (Transfer Case).

  9. Connect the battery ground cable.
