PINPOINT TEST A: Transfer Case Overtemperature Tests

  1. A1: TRANSFER CASE OVERTEMPERATURE TEST 1 
    1. Check the wheel/tire sizes and compare to the vehicle specifications

    Are the wheel/tire sizes correct?

    Yes  : GO to  A2.

    No  : Repair as necessary and retest

  2. A2: TRANSFER CASE OVERTEMPERATURE TEST 2 
    1. Check the tire pressures and compare to the vehicle specifications

    Are the tire pressure settings correct?

    Yes  : GO to  A3.

    No  : Adjust the tire pressures as necessary and retest

  3. A3: TRANSFER CASE OVERTEMPERATURE TEST 3 
    1. Check the installation of the front left/right halfshafts

    Are the front halfshafts installed correctly?

    Yes  : GO to  A4.

    No  : Repair as necessary and retest

  4. A4: TRANSFER CASE OVERTEMPERATURE TEST 4 
  1. Check the installation of the front driveshaft

Is the front driveshaft installed correctly?

Yes  : Install a new transfer case. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, perform routines - Calibrate Clutch and Transfer Case Classification

No  : GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
