Safety Precautions
Functional Check
Make sure the convertible top transportation cover is removed prior to fully opening the convertible top. Failure to remove the transportation cover will result in damage to the convertible top and carrier mechanism.
Damage to equipment. Make sure there are no obstructions between the convertible top and luggage separator, roll-over protection device covers before operating the convertible top.
Make sure the luggage compartment forward trim panel and tonneau panel are installed in the correct position. The convertible top will not operate if the tonneau panel is not in the stowed and vertical position.
Do not attempt to manually operate the convertible top. Damage to the link mechanism will result if the convertible top is forced.
Make sure the side windows one-touch/anti-trap function is calibrated before operating the convertible top (refer to 'PREPARATION - WINDOW ANTI-TRAP FEATURE ' for details of window calibration).
The convertible top along with the rear quarter and side windows will operate automatically when the convertible top open/close control hard button is operated, and the ignition is switched on. The control button is located in the overhead console above the driver's compartment.
As the control button is pressed to open the convertible top, the rear quarter and side windows will fully lower and the convertible top will unlatch and commence opening.
As the control button is pressed to close the convertible top, the rear quarter and side windows will immediately fully raise to engage with the channel seal in the convertible top. The convertible top will continue to move to the fully closed and latched position.
