Window Anti-Trap Feature
Each electrically operated window comprises an anti-trap protection feature on the one-touch close operation. When the upward movement of the window detects an obstacle the anti-trap feature will immediately stop the window closing, and then move the window fully down.
If the battery becomes discharged or is disconnected after completion of the PDI, the window one-touch up/anti-trap function will be cancelled. When the battery is reconnected or recharged, the window one-touch up/anti-trap function MUST be manually reset as described.
Window normal operation - the window switches are located on the driver's door (switch pack, LHD version shown) and a single switch is located on the passenger door to control the passenger window only. The ignition must be switched on to operate the windows. The switches will only operate the windows for 5 minutes when the ignition is in the convenience mode.
To lower a window:
- Press and hold the front of the switch until the desired position is reached, then release the switch.
- For one-touch operation, press the switch briefly to fully open the window in one movement. Window travel is stopped at any time by pressing the switch again.
To raise a window:
- Pull up and hold the front of the switch until the desired position is reached, then release the switch.
- For one-touch operation, pull the switch briefly to fully close the window in one movement. Window travel is stopped at any time by pressing the switch again.
