Brake Pedal and Bracket: Installation

  1. Install brake pedal to pedal housing.
    • Apply grease to pivot bush and pivot pin.
    • Align brake pedal in pedal housing.
    • Install pivot pin.
    • Install nut and tighten to 15-20 Nm.

  2. Install stoplamp switch to pedal housing.
    • Install nuts and tighten to 3 Nm.

  3. Install the brake booster and brake master cylinder. Refer to BRAKE BOOSTER AND BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
  4. Install pedal housing, brake booster and master cylinder assembly. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL AND BRACKET, BRAKE BOOSTER AND BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER 
  5. Install plenum cover. Refer to COWL PANEL GRILLE .
  6. Install windshield wiper arm and blade assembly.
  7. Reconnect battery ground cable (IMPORTANT, see BATTERY CONNECT for further information).
  8. Bleed brake system. Refer to BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  9. Remove paint-work protection covers and close engine compartment.
