Installation Procedure

  1. Install the actuator lever to the backing plate.
  2. Install the park brake shoe. Refer to Park Brake Shoe Replacement .
  3. Adjust the park brake shoe. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment (J55) .
  4. Install the rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (J55) or Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JL9) .
  5. Install the rear park brake cable to the park brake actuator lever.

  6. Connect the left rear park brake cable (2) to the rear equalizer (1).
  7. Connect the right rear park brake cable (5) to the intermediate park brake cable (3).
  8. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  9. Remove the safety stands.
  10. Lower vehicle.
