Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the lower control arm face and bore before installing the wheel bearing and hub.
  2. Install the wheel bearing and hub and brake shield to the lower control arm.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the wheel bearing and hub retaining bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the wheel bearing and hub retaining bolts to 68 N.m (50 lb ft).

  4. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (J55) or Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JL9) .

  5. Install the ABS sensor wire connector.
  6. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
