Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Cadillac DTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: The control arm nuts should be tightened with the vehicle unsupported and resting on the wheels at the normal trim height.

  1. Install the lower control arm to the rear suspension support assembly.

  3. Install the wheel bearing and hub, if necessary. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (FE1, FE3)  or Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (FE7) .
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

  5. Install stabilizer shaft link bolt, spacer, insulator, and nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the stabilizer shaft link nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  6. Install the rear suspension support assembly. Refer to Support Replacement - Rear (W/FE1, FE3) or Support Replacement - Rear (W/FE7) .
  7. Tighten the control arm nuts and bolts with the vehicle at normal ride height.

    Tighten:  Tighten the control arm nuts to 106 N.m (78 lb ft).

  8. Lower the vehicle.
