CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution . CAUTION: Replace the passenger presence system as a complete assembly to prevent possible injury to the occupant. All the components in the service kit are assembled and calibrated as a unit. Using only some of the components in the service kit will cause the passenger presence system to operate improperly. CAUTION: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction. Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the front passenger seat. Refer to Seat Replacement . Remove the front passenger seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement . Remove the front passenger seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement . Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Control Module References for replacement and setup information.
1	Cover, Passenger Seat Cushion Pad Refer to Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement .
2	Retainer, Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Sensor (Qty: 2)
3	Sensor Assembly, Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Tip: Note the routing of the wiring harness and connector location for installation. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the retaining cap for the seat cushion blower if equipped.
4	Frame, Passenger Seat Cushion Pad Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
5	Rivet, Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Module (Qty: 2) Tip: Drill out the rivets to remove the module and reinstall with new rivets.
6	Module, Inflatable Restraint Front Passenger Presence Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector.
