Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet hose quick connect fitting from the AIR pump. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Open and slide down the pinch clamp attaching the AIR hose to the AIR pipe.
  5. Separate the AIR hose from the AIR pipe.

  7. Remove the retainers attaching the AIR hose to the engine cradle.
  8. Remove the AIR hose from the vehicle.
  9. Lower the vehicle.

  11. Remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) clip (5) from the AIR pipe bracket.

  13. Pinch the constant tension clamp and remove the AIR pipe from the check valve.
  14. Remove the AIR pipe nuts (2, 3).
  15. Remove the AIR pipe.
