Removal & Installation

  1. Before removing the vacuum booster assembly, disconnect and remove the brake pipes.
  2. Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER .
  3. Remove vacuum hose. See Fig 1. Disconnect the yoke clevis from the brake pedal. Remove vacuum booster fixing nut. Remove vacuum booster.
  4. Measure push rod and adjust if necessary. See VACUUM BOOSTER PUSH ROD  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  5. For installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nut to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Make sure that vacuum hose arrow points in direction of engine.
