Cylinder Head: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Clean all gasket surfaces. DO NOT clean head using motorized wire brush. Tighten NEW cylinder head bolts in sequence. See Fig 2 and Fig 1 . Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Before installing cylinder head cover, apply silicone sealant to corners of end camshaft towers and install NEW gasket. See Figure. Adjust accelerator cable. See Figure. See ACCELERATOR CABLE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
