Check power supply and ground circuit of BCM. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

GO TO STEP 2  .

NO 

Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Check the brake fluid level. Refer to INSPECTION .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

GO TO STEP 4  .

NO 

Refill the brake fluid, and GO TO STEP 3.

• Refer to REFILLING .

Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to DTC DESCRIPTION .

Is DTC C0049 detected again?

YES 

GO TO STEP 4  .

NO 

INSPECTION END

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch harness connector.
3. Connect decade resistor to the brake fluid level switch connector.
4. Check resistance brake fluid level switch.

   Check result	Specified value
   10 kΩ	OK
   1 Ω	Not OK

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

GO TO STEP 5  .

NO 

Replace brake master cylinder. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

1. Disconnect the BCM harness connector.
2. Check the continuity between brake fluid level switch harness connector and BCM harness connector.

3. Check the continuity between brake fluid level switch harness connector and ground.

   Brake fluid level switch		-	Continuity

Is the inspection result normal?

YES 

Replace brake master cylinder. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

NO 

Repair harness or connector.
