Diagnostic Test

- CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH - 1
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect stop lamp switch harness connector.
- Check the continuity between stop lamp switch terminals as per the following conditions.
Stop lamp switch Conditions Continuity + - Terminal 3 4 Brake pedal Fully released Not existed Slightly depressed Existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END
NO
GO TO STEP 2 .
- CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH - 2
- Adjust stop lamp switch installation. (Refer to INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT .)
- Check the continuity between stop lamp switch terminals as per the following conditions.
Stop lamp switch Conditions Continuity + - Terminal 3 4 Brake pedal Fully released Not existed Slightly depressed Existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END
NO
Replace stop lamp switch. Refer to EXPLODED VIEW WITH TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
