Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to WIRING DIAGRAM .

1. CHECK REAR POWER LIFTGATE SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
   
   
   1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
   2. Disconnect rear power liftgate lock assembly connector.
   3. Check signal between rear power liftgate lock assembly harness connector and ground using oscilloscope.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES 

   GO TO STEP   3  .

   NO 

   GO TO STEP 2  .

2. CHECK REAR POWER LIFTGATE SWITCH CIRCUIT
   
   
   1. Disconnect BCM connector.
   2. Check continuity between rear power liftgate lock assembly harness connector and BCM harness connector.

      Rear power liftgate lock assembly		BCM		Continuity
      Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
      D557	7	M20	97	Yes

   3. Check continuity between rear power liftgate lock assembly harness connector and ground.

      Rear power liftgate lock assembly		Ground	Continuity
      Connector	Terminal
      D557	7		No

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES 

   Replace BCM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   NO 

   Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK REAR POWER LIFTGATE SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
   
   

   Check continuity between rear power liftgate lock assembly harness connector and ground.

   Rear power liftgate lock assembly		Ground	Continuity
   Connector	Terminal
   D557	8		Yes

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES 

   GO TO STEP 4  .

   NO 

   Repair or replace harness.

4. CHECK REAR POWER LIFTGATE SWITCH
   
   

   Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES 

   GO TO STEP 5  .

   NO 

   Replace rear power liftgate lock assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

5. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
   
   

   Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .

   Inspection End.
