Fuel Gauge Circuit Test

  1. Check harness connector terminals at combination meter and fuel level sending unit (at fuel tank) for poor connections.
  2. If no problems exist with wiring and fuel gauge on instrument panel is not functioning properly, test fuel gauge sending unit. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  3. If fuel gauge sending unit is okay, perform instrument cluster self-diagnosis. See ENTERING SELF-DIAGNOSTIC MODE  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
