Inspection Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - ECM)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S1 and the ECM connector E6.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 2
.
Standard
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 3
.
Standard
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT ECM TERMINAL VOLTAGE (NEO TERMINAL)
- Reconnect the ECM connector E6 and the skid control ECU connector S1.
- Check the signal waveform between terminal NEO (E6-17) of the ECM and body ground for the engine conditions below in Fig 5.
Standard:
- Waveform similar to Fig 6 is output.

NG: REPLACE ECM
OK: Go to next step.
- RECONFIRM DTC
- Clear the DTCs. (see PRE-CHECK )
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Are the same DTCs recorded? (see PRE-CHECK )
NO: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
YES: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
NOTE: When replacing the Brake Actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK ).
