Inspection Procedure

HINT:
Start the inspection from step 1 when using the hand-held tester and start from step 2 when not using the hand-held tester.
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the DATA LIST mode on the hand-held tester.
- Check that the brake fluid pressure value of the master cylinder pressure sensor observed in on the hand-held tester changes when the brake pedal is depressed.
Standard:
- When depressing the brake pedal, the reading on the hand-held tester increases.
NOTE: When replacing the Brake Actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK ).OK: Go to step 2
NG: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STP TERMINAL)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S1.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in Fig 3
.
Standard
NOTE: When replacing the Brake Actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK ).NG: CHECK AND REPLACE STOP LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
OK: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
