Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S1 and the ECM connector E6.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 2 .

      Standard

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 3 .

      Standard

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT ECM TERMINAL VOLTAGE (NEO TERMINAL) 
    1. Reconnect the ECM connector E6 and the skid control ECU connector S1.

    2. Check the signal waveform between terminal NEO (E6-17) of the ECM and body ground for the engine conditions below in Fig 5.

    Standard: 

    1. Waveform similar to  Fig 6  is output.

    NG: REPLACE ECM 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. (see PRE-CHECK  )
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    3. Are the same DTCs recorded? (see PRE-CHECK  )

    NO: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 

    YES: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 

    NOTE: When replacing the Brake Actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK  ).
