Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE (ABS NO.3) 
    1. Remove the ABS No.3 fuse from the engine room J/B.

    2. Check continuity of the ABS No.3 fuse.

      Standard

    NG: CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESS AND CONNECTOR CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in Fig 4 .

      Standard

    OK: Go to step   4 

    NG: Go to next step. 

  3. INSPECT HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 6 .

      Standard

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND) 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY) 

  4. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. (see PRE-CHECK  )
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    3. Are the same DTCs recorded? (see PRE-CHECK  )
    NOTE: When replacing the Brake Actuator assy, perform zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK  ).

    NO: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 

    YES: REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  )
