Component Tests: Diodes
Remove combination meter (instrument cluster). See COMBINATION METER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using an ohmmeter, connect positive lead to striped side of diode and negative lead to opposite side of diode. See Fig 1 . Continuity should exist. With ohmmeter leads reversed, continuity should not exist. If continuity is not as specified, replace combination meter Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC).
