DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitoring the voltage of circuit
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Faulty blower motor circuit
  3. Faulty blower motor
  4. Faulty FET (except USA & Canada)
  5. Faulty A/C PWM module (with USA & Canada)
  6. Faulty CAN communication line
  7. Faulty A/C control module
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage is between 10 and 16V
  • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is between -10 and 60°C (14 and 140°F)
  • Ambient air temperature (AAT) is above -10°C (14°F)
  • Blower motor control duty is above 40%
Threshold Value
  • Blower motor feedback voltage by motor control current is lower than 0.1V
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • No MIL (DTC only)
