DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal Monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open or short in Circuit
Enable Condition Case 1
  • Time after ignition "ON" higher than 0.1 s
  • Engine speed is equal 0 RPM
  • No main relay error
Case 2
  • No relevant failure
  • Battery voltage is lower than 16V
  • Engine speed is at between 600 and 4000 RPM
  • Coolant temp. is higher than 73°C (140°F)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Alternator load is lower than 15%
Case 2
  • Alternator load is lower than 2%
Diagnostic Time Case 1
  • 1 second
Case 2
  • 20 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
