Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Related fuse blown or missing
  3. Short to ground in power supply or control harness
  4. Poor connection or damaged harness
  5. Faulty HO2S (B1/S2)
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage is between 11 and 16V
  • O2 sensor heater control duty between 3.5 and 96.5%
  • No relevant failure
Threshold Value
  • Short to ground in rear HO2S heater circuit
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
