DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Related fuse blown or missing
  3. Heater control circuit open or short
  4. Power supply circuit open or short
  5. Poor connection or damaged harness
  6. Faulty HO2S (B1/S2)
Enable Condition
  • O2 sensor pre-heating phase finished (dew point passed)
  • No relevant failure
  • Coolant temperature drop since the last engine stop more than 25°C (77°F)
  • Battery voltage between 11 and 16V
  • O2 sensor heater control duty between 3.5 and 96.5%
  • O2 sensor operative ready (to ensure no open circuit failure present)
Threshold Value
  • HO2S internal resistance is higher than 10000Ω to 18000Ω
Diagnostic Time
  • 130 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
