Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical check
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open in power circuit
  3. Short to ground in control circuit
  4. Faulty HO2S (B1/S1)
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage is between 11 and 16V
  • O2 sensor heater control duty between 3.5 and 96.5%
  • No relevant failure
Threshold Value
  • Short to ground in front HO2S heater circuit
Diagnostic Time
  • 5 seconds
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
