DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical check
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Related fuse blown or missing
  3. Heater control circuit open or short
  4. Power supply circuit open or short
  5. Contact resistance in connectors
  6. Faulty HO2S
Enable Condition
  • No relevant failure
  • Battery voltage between 11 and 16V
  • Sensor operative readiness (tip temperature more than 630°C (1, 166°F) or 18s heating time after dew-point detection)
Threshold Value
  • Upstream O2 sensor tip temperature is lower than 660°C (1220°F) or higher than 900°C (1652°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
