DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Exhaust CVVT slow response
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Oil leak
  3. Engine oil contamination
  4. Faulty exhaust VFS
  5. Exhaust VFS filter contamination
  6. Faulty CVVT assembly (exhaust)
Enable Condition
  • Engine speed is between 450 and 5000 RPM
  • Engine oil temperature (EOT) is between 20°C (68°F) and 120°C (248°F).
  • Camshaft set-point movement is higher than 12° within 1s
  • Camshaft set-point moved higher than 0 times since engine start
  • Battery voltage between 11 and 16V
Threshold Value
  • CAM position movement is less than 4° within 1s
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediately
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
