Monitor DTC Status

  1. Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
  4. Read "DTC Status" parameter.

  5. Record all DTCs, DTC state and freeze frame data. Is the DTC State "Present?"
    NOTE:
    • History (Not Present) state: the DTC set but has been cleared.
    • Present state: the DTC is active at present time.

    YES 

    • Select ABS/ESP system and check DTCs related with wheel speed sensor or CAN Timeout. If DTC is exist, repair as necessary, and then clear the DTC.
    • Recheck SCC/AEB system, if C120881 is still active DTC, go to next procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or control module's connector, or was repaired and control module's memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
