Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check CAN communication line Open 

  1. IG "OFF". Disconnect the connectors related to the CAN communication
  2. Check resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of FPCM Connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of PCM harness connector. (Measurement "A")
  3. Check resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of FPCM Connector and CAN-LOW terminal of PCM harness connector. (Measurement "B")

    Specification:  Approx. 0 Ω

  4. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good FPCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace FPCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO
