Fuel pressure sensor power Circuit Inspection

1. IG "OFF". Disconnect fuel pressure sensor connector.
2. IG "ON".
3. Measure the voltage between power terminal of fuel pressure sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Approx. 5 V

4. Is the measured voltage within specification?

   YES 

   • Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Go to next step.

■ Check short to ground 

1. IG "OFF". Disconnect fuel pressure sensor and fuel control module connector.
2. Measure the resistance between power terminal of fuel pressure sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification:  Infinite

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

   YES 

   • Substitute with a known - good fuel control module and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace fuel control module and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO 

   • Repair short in harness. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
