Control Circuit Inspection

■ Check voltage 

  1. IG "OFF". Disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector.
  2. IG "ON"
  3. Measure the voltage ETC motor (+), (-) of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 1.7 V (ETC motor (+)), Approx. 0 V (ETC motor (-))

  4. Is the measured voltage within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Go to "Check open in harness" as follows.

■ Open Check 

  1. IG "OFF". Disconnect PCM and ETC motor connector.
  2. Measure resistance ETC (+), (-) line between PCM and ETC motor harness connector.

    Specification:  Below 1 Ω

  3. Is resistance within specification?

    YES 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NO
