DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Check
  1. Short to battery in harness
  2. Poor connection or damaged harness
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Time after ignition ON is longer than 0.1 sec.
  • Engine speed = 0
  • No main relay error
Threshold value
  • Alternator load is less than 15%
Diagnosis Time
  • 1 sec.
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed is higher than 0 RPM
  • No relevant failure
  • Battery voltage is less than 16 V
  • Engine speed (RPM) is between 600 RPM and 4000 RPM
  • Coolant temp. is higher than 73°C (140°F)
Threshold value
  • Alternator load is less than 2%
Diagnosis Time
  • 20 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • NO MIL
