Signal Circuit Inspection

Disconnect an Oil temperature sensor connector.
IG KEY "ON" & Engine "OFF".
Measure voltage between signal of Oil temperature sensor circuit and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 3.3V

Is the measured voltage within specifications?
YES
- Go to "GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Check a battery short circuit or a ground short circuit at the wiring of Oil temperature sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
