Power Circuit Inspection
- Check voltage power circuit
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect front height sensor connector and rear height sensor connector.
- Ignition "ON"
- Measure the voltage between front height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Measure the voltage between rear height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Specification: below 5V
- Is "voltage" display near the specified value?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- When the normal range output for battery voltage.
→ Go to " Check Short to battery"
- When the lower voltage output than normal range for battery voltage.
→ Go to " Check Short to Ground".
- Check Short to battery
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect front height sensor connector and rear height sensor connector and AFLS ECU connector.
- Ignition "ON"
- Measure the voltage between front height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Measure the voltage between rear height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Specification: below 0V
- Is "voltage" display near the specified value?
YES
- If the circuit is insulated well and the sensor power supply from ECU is high, replace ECU and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Repair short to battery and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
- Check Short to Ground
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect front height sensor connector and rear height sensor connector and AFLS ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance between front height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Measure the resistance between rear height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Specification: Discontinuity (Infinite Ω)
- Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
- If the circuit is insulated well and the sensor power supply from ECM is low, replace ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Repair short to battery and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
