Wheel Bearing End Play
- Raise and support vehicle. Release parking brake. Remove wheel and wheel bearing dust cap. Remove caliper and disc (if equipped). Set dial indicator against edge of axle (Sonata) or brake drum center flange.
- Push and pull on axle hub or brake drum. Note bearing end play. See REAR WHEEL BEARING MAXIMUM END PLAY table.
- If end play exceeds specification, retighten wheel bearing nut. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Recheck end play. If end play is still beyond the limit, replace wheel bearings.
