Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
    2. IMPORTANT: Make a note of the routing in order to aid during reassembly.

  2. Disconnect the transmission vent hose retainer (1) from the transmission crossmember.
  3. Remove the transmission support cross member. Refer to Transmission Support Crossmember Replacement .
  4. Remove the left catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LH8) .

  5. Disconnect the transfer case vent hose (1) from the transfer case.

  6. Disconnect the transmission vent hose (3) from the transmission.
  7. Disconnect the transmission vent hose retainer (1) from the transmission.
  8. Remove the transmission and transfer case vent hose assembly (2) from the transmission.
