Power Lift Gate Motor Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/o E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/o E61) . Remove the liftgate actuator rod. Refer to Lift Gate Actuator Rod Replacement .
1	Power Liftgate Actuator Motor Bolts (Qty: 2) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 8 N.m (71 lb in)
2	Power Liftgate Actuator Motor Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector. Reprogram the power liftgate motor replacement. Refer to Lift Gate Control Module Programming and Setup .

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten: 8 N.m (71 lb in)

Tip:

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Reprogram the power liftgate motor replacement. Refer to Lift Gate Control Module Programming and Setup .
